Museum Introduction
The Helu City Ruins Museum is located in the core exhibition area of the Wu Culture Expo Park and Helu Capital, and is an iconic building representing the origin of Wu culture in China. The building's design is smooth and round, resembling a phoenix emerging from its shell, signifying "the phoenix's rebirth" and symbolizing the rebirth and renewed glory of Helu ancient city after 2500 years. The exhibition area uses historical introductions, artifact displays, 3D films, and multimedia interactive experiences to showcase the historical evolution of the ancient Wu Kingdom, the archaeological process of the Helu City ruins, and their current preservation status. It focuses on highlighting King Helu's diligent governance, his efforts to strengthen the country, his benevolent administration, his meritocratic approach, and recreates the brilliant chapter of the Spring and Autumn Wu Kingdom.
The entire exhibition area consists of four sections: Exploring Ancient Wu, Passing Down the Torch, Helu's Mighty Wind, and Ancient Wu Style. The Exploring Ancient Wu section focuses on the history of the Wu Kingdom and the Wu cultural relics in Wuxi. The Passing Down the Torch section uses recent archaeological discoveries in the Wuxi area to showcase the continuity of Wu civilization through physical objects. The Helu's Mighty Wind section is the main exhibition content, using the legendary life of King Helu as the main thread to highlight his diligent governance, benevolent administration, military strength, meritocratic appointments, and related historical figures and events during his reign. The Ancient Wu Style section highlights the unique customs and distinct cultural characteristics of the Wu region.
