Replica of Zeng Houyi's bronze chime bells
The Zeng Hou Yi bronze bells unearthed in Sui County, Hubei Province, are a national treasure, numbering 65 pieces. A central chime bell was a gift from King Hui of Chu, in return for Zeng Hou's protection of King Zhao of Chu, his father. In the past, when King Helü of Wu led his army to capture Yingdu, King Zhao of Chu fled to the Zeng state for refuge, receiving Zeng Hou's protection, who then persuaded the Wu army to retreat. Currently, the original Zeng Hou Yi bronze bells are housed in the Hubei Provincial Museum.
