Pig-shaped object

The pig-shaped vessel is an artifact from the Songze period (approximately 5800-4900 years ago). It measures 20 cm in length, 6.9 cm in width, and 7 cm in height. Shaped in the form of a pig, it is plump in form. Eyes are incised, the snout protrudes, and the upper and lower jaws, nostrils, and ears are carved, making it quite charming. In ancient times, pig farming was an important economic source and gradually evolved into a symbol of wealth, leading to its worship. As a result, works of art depicting pigs emerged.
