Having experienced thousands of years, although the Gou Wu Kingdom, which dominated the world for hundreds of years, has long since been annihilated in the long river of history, the culture of pioneering and hard work has left a deep mark on history and has been passed down to this day; although the magnificent palaces of the Wu King have long since disappeared with time, many ancient sites have been fortunately preserved by layers of soil to this day. Today, the Wu culture inherited from the ancient Gou Wu Kingdom, after the tempering of time, has become even more profound, and has long been integrated into every aspect of life in Wu, influencing generation after generation of people who grew up in Wu, and the Helu ancient city, as a witness to the development of Wu culture, has also recently emerged from layers of dust and reappeared in the world. With the gradual advancement of the Helu Ancient City Ruins Park project, Wu culture and Helu ancient city have once again organically combined by chance, vividly recreating the glorious past of the Spring and Autumn Wu Kingdom for the people, and interpreting the Wu cultural spirit of "崇德、重文、务实、创新".

The Helu Ancient City Ruins Park, centered on the Helu Ancient City Ruins, one of the top ten archaeological discoveries in China in 2008, relies on platforms such as the Helu City Ruins Museum and the Spring and Autumn Wu King City to vividly tell the stories of the Spring and Autumn Wu region and recreate the magnificent scenes of the ancient kingdom. As the first project launched in the Helu City Ruins Park, the Helu City Ruins Museum, in its recent operation, has changed the previous monotonous way of telling stories in museums, which mainly focuses on cultural relics, by using the latest scientific and technological achievements, diverse exhibition methods, and characteristic experience activities, to present one by one the well-known stories of the Wu region in a different way, allowing the public to experience a more vivid history and understand the more vivid Wu culture, in order to more vividly and vividly present the original appearance of history, allowing the public to experience history at zero distance during their visit.

Travel through time, experiencing the prosperity of the Wu Kingdom is no longer a dream

People living in the Wu region have heard countless stories of the Wu region since they were toddlers, immersed in them, either cheering for Helu's great achievements in dominating the Spring and Autumn period, or sighing for Fuchai's neglect of government affairs, or yearning for the magnificent Wu Kingdom. However, this is just an idea; it is impossible to personally experience the exciting historical scenes of that time.

Fortunately, with the development of interactive multimedia technology, it is no longer a dream to travel through time and experience history in the Helu City Ruins Museum. In addition to the conventional exhibition of cultural relics, there are multimedia exhibitions throughout the museum, including not only wonderful video demonstrations, but also world-class multi-point interactive multimedia applications. The most eye-catching part of the multimedia exhibition in the museum is "伟哉阖闾" in the interactive multimedia exhibition hall, which vividly displays the appearance of the Spring and Autumn Wu Kingdom and several major historical events in an interactive way, giving visitors an immersive feeling, as if they have traveled back to 2500 years ago. Using infrared sensing technology, the exhibition hall interacts with visitors in the exhibition hall by constantly changing the ground projection images. Here, visitors seem to have the power to transcend nature, able to make flowers bloom, chase frogs and fish, and even personally experience the construction of Helu City and feel the wonderful Lingbo Weibu. Before the end of their visit, visitors can also have the chance to wave goodbye to Xishi in the Wu style ancient rhyme exhibition hall. This experience is pretty good, isn't it!

A millennium reunion, connecting a moving story

With Goujian, who had endured hardships for many years, launching a military campaign against Wu, one of the five hegemons of the Spring and Autumn period, the Wu Kingdom was shattered in a few years, the royal family members of the Wu Kingdom scattered all over the place, and the wealth accumulated in the Wu region for hundreds of years was emptied overnight. Due to this well-known reason, it is obviously very difficult to make the precious cultural relics of the Wu Kingdom in the same museum connect a complete historical story.

In order to allow visitors to better understand the history of the Spring and Autumn Wu Kingdom, and to make the stories behind the cultural relics more vivid, more attractive, and more complete, the Helu City Ruins Museum has made great efforts in the exhibition of cultural relics. Through various efforts, the museum has borrowed a batch of characteristic cultural relics from various places, which, together with its own collection of cultural relics, have formed a colorful story. Some of these cultural relics come from Anhui, some from Henan, and some from Shanxi; some are related to Helu's wife, some to Helu's children, and some to Helu himself. After a millennium, they gathered together, connecting stories that have been covered up by history, making the entire exhibition more vivid and more humane, and making the history of the Wu Kingdom that we have been passing down from generation to generation more complete. How did the owners of these cultural relics live in the Wu Kingdom? How did these cultural relics leave the territory of the Wu Kingdom? What was the mood of the owners when their country was destroyed and their homes were destroyed? How did they live after drifting to foreign lands? These stories hidden behind the cultural relics are worth exploring carefully by visitors.

New propaganda makes historical stories more humorous

Many people in life are interested in history, but because of the dryness of historical books, few people can calm down and carefully read and learn more. For this reason, in order to better tell the stories of the Wu region clearly and vividly, and to attract more people to pay attention to the history of the Wu region, in addition to developing traditional historical books, the Helu City Ruins Museum has vigorously developed the "图说阖闾故事" series of comics. The "图说阖闾故事" series uses the comic form, which is very popular among young people, combined with humorous language, to tell a series of historical stories related to the Spring and Autumn Wu Kingdom. With its humorous charm, the "图说阖闾故事" series of comics has already gained a fixed fan base online. It is particularly worth mentioning that the "图说阖闾故事" series of comics has already had millions of views on Sina Weibo, with an average of 50,000 to 60,000 views per issue; the museum's comic promotional brochures derived from the comics are deeply loved by tourists and are often snapped up; other derivative exhibits, such as Rubik's Cube puzzles and bookmarks with comic elements, have been used in the museum's promotional activities. With the help of the "图说" series of comics, history is no longer boring or monotonous, but is vividly imprinted in the minds of tourists in the form of pictures.

Diverse experience activities integrate Wu culture into life

The busy work rhythm has made people begin to understand the importance of enjoying life slowly, so the Helu City Ruins Museum, located on the shore of Taihu Lake and with beautiful scenery and rich cultural connotations, has become a good place for people to spend their weekends.

To provide visitors seeking relaxation with a richer cultural experience and a more authentic understanding of Wu culture, the Helu City Ruins Museum regularly organizes a series of cultural activities, including study tours, family activities, and children's coming-of-age ceremonies. These activities allow visitors to learn about the brilliant history of Wu through oral traditions and to gain a deeper, more practical understanding of the museum's artifacts by participating in activities such as treasure hunts within the museum, striking ancient bells, and rubbing ancient pottery shards, thus enjoying a more fulfilling and unique museum cultural journey.
