About Helv
Helv relics, having more than 2,500 years history, is the precious historic and cultural heritage in Wuxi, which was the capital of Kingdom Wu, one of Five Hegemons in Spring and Autumn Period.
Back to 1956, the government of Jiangsu Province named Helv Relics as the provincial heritage preservation unit. In the national expert seminar of 2008, it was recognized as the capital of King Helv, which was listed as one of Top 10 China’s Archeology Discovery in 2008. In 2011, it was also listed as the Important Heritage in Jiangsu Province. In Mar. 2013, it was named by the State Council among 7th batch of National Important Heritage Preservation Units and chosen into the catalogue of 150 important heritages in China during the Twelfth Five -Year Plan. In December of the same year, National Heritage Board put Helv Relics into the list for national archeology relics park.
The architectural style of the museum is soothing and smooth, which looks like a phoenix just flying out of the shell to deliver the meaning of the nirvana for a 2,500-year-old Helv city regaining its birth and glories. The museum is a place for heritage exhibition, archeology research, science education and cultural experience. By means of cultural relics, 3D cinema and multi-media exhibition hall, Magnificent ? Helv, the museum reveals the process for discovering Helv Relics and shows the human and cultural spirit through telling the stories from King Wu, like his good governance, his honesty, his close relationship with the citizens as well as his standard on using the officials according to virtues and abilities.
Helv Relics Museum is the core part of the project for China Culture Wu Expo Park and Capital City Helv. It is the symbol of the birthplace of Culture Wu and the center for inheriting, exhibiting, researching and experiencing Culture Wu in China.

Imitation of the original celadon with a jar unearthed from the Longshan stone mound at the site of Helu City in Wudu in the Spring and Autumn Period, it was originally an ancient aristocratic daily-use utensils. The jar body is decorated with dragon patterns, and its shape is unique, which is rare in China.
