On June 20th, the Dragon Boat Festival, a fun traditional cultural experience event, the "First Wudu Little Zongzi Chef God" parent-child activity, successfully concluded at the visitor service center of the Helv City Ruins Museum (Junlai Wenbo Home). The fun of wrapping zongzi, the fragrant and delicious zongzi, the warm parent-child interaction, and the charm of traditional culture, this is a true reflection of the event scene.
The "First Wudu Little Zongzi Chef God" parent-child activity attracted more than 50 families to actively sign up and participate. After several rounds of selection, 40 families were selected to participate in the final competition. The competition was divided into two rounds, testing the participating families' zongzi-wrapping skills and knowledge of the history of the Dragon Boat Festival. In the first round, participating families followed the style of the sample zongzi, wrapping glutinous rice with zong leaves to make zongzi on the spot. Most participating families usually buy zongzi to eat and have never wrapped zongzi by hand. From the stacking of the zong leaves, the wrapping of the glutinous rice, to the tying of the rope, each seemingly simple step proved challenging for the contestants. With children volunteering to participate in the process, many oddly shaped zongzi were created, causing the entire audience to burst into laughter. Of course, there were also families with good skills in the competition; some families' zongzi were not only exquisite but also very creative, earning praise from the judges. Finally, after the on-site judges' selection, 6 winning families were selected. In the second round, the host asked the 6 winning families various knowledge questions covering the history of Wu land, the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, and its customs, with the participating families answering within a time limit. All 6 families achieved good results, and finally, based on the performance of each family, three winning families were selected according to ranking.
Amidst the laughter of the contestants, the "First Wudu Little Zongzi Chef God" parent-child activity came to a successful end. The traditional Dragon Boat Festival, through this competition and unique parent-child activity, brought a new festival experience to the contestants, subtly rekindling their interest in traditional cultural customs and adding a unique experience to the entire festival.
