Release time:
2021-09-26
Twelve enthusiastic student volunteers have begun their service at the Helu City Ruins Museum. To enhance communication between the museum and the community, the Helu City Ruins Museum publicly recruited volunteers this summer, receiving many positive responses from students. After interviews, twelve students were selected as the museum's first batch of volunteers and immediately started their service.
This year marks the first time the Helu City Ruins Museum has recruited volunteers. Within just three days of posting the recruitment notice, nearly 30 people applied, with 12 students successfully selected. Among them are university students, high school students, and some who recently graduated from middle school. When asked why they chose to volunteer at the museum, some answered that they are interested in Wu culture and the history of Wuxi; others hope to improve their social skills or gain work experience. Without exception, they all share a passionate heart, hoping to contribute to society during their summer break.
In fact, the Helu City Ruins Museum established a volunteer team by recruiting volunteers. This provides a platform for those passionate about museum service and community service to realize their social and personal values. It also allows the museum to better integrate with the community, reaching out to the public. Each volunteer helps to spread the historical and cultural heritage and the spirit of Wu culture more widely, thus effectively fulfilling the museum's public education function and avoiding the predicament of being inaccessible to the general public.
After brief training, these volunteers will be assigned to various positions. Some will provide guided tours to visitors, some will promote the museum through online channels, and others will serve as guides for primary and secondary school students participating in summer activities. Regardless of their roles, these volunteers are sure to grow and improve through serving the public, contributing to society, and spreading culture, providing more humane and considerate service to visitors.
Youth is vibrant through dedication, and society is better because of it. The Helu volunteers are setting sail this summer and are sure to gain invaluable experience. To strengthen our ranks, the Helu City Ruins Museum welcomes enthusiastic individuals to join this team and leave their youthful mark on the Helu City Ruins Museum.
